REGISTRE D'HONNEUR SUD-AFRICAINDES HMS CORNWALL ET DORSETSHIRELes croiseurs HMS Cornwall et HMS Dorsetshire furent coulés à l'ouest de Ceylan le 5 avril 1942 par des bombardiers japonais. Plusieurs Sud Africains servaient à bord de ces deux navires et 39 d'entre-eux perdirent leurs vies lors de cet engagement sans issue. Leurs noms sont gravés sur le Plymouth Naval Memorial. |
