Grave H16. Son of S. and Elma T. A. Friendly, of Sea Point, Cape Town (Source : C.W.G.C.). 139th Squadron, Royal Air Force. Killed in action on the 21st May 1943. The 139th (Jamaica) Squadron, a bomber squadron equipped with De Havilland Mosquito, carried out low-level raids over occupied territories and Germany. Jocelyn Friendly was navigator and the 139th Squadron was based at Marham. |
