Son of Mr and Mrs R. Williams, of 38, Bree St, New Town, Johannesburg, SA. Born at Kimberley (Source : C.W.G.C.).

Killed in action on the 12th April 1917 in the improvised and disastrous attack of the 9th (Scottish) Division on the German positions in the East of Fampoux. The 1st SAI lost 2 officers and 203 men.
