Visit of Delville Wood

On  9th July 1915, the governor of the German South West Africa, Doctor Theodor Seitz, and the German Commander-in-chief,  Colonel V. Franke, surrendered to General Botha at Otavi, with 4 740 men.

It was the first Allied major success of the War.
