Son of A Laurie, of Gatehouse of Fleet, Kirkcudbrightshire. Husband of Jenny Laurie, of 29, Lucan Rd, Aigburth, Liverpool. Served in the South African and German SW Africa campaigns (Source : C.W.G.C.).

6th Battalion, The Buffs (37th Brigade, 12th Eastern Division)

Killed in action on the 9th August 1918.
